July is here and we are now mid way through the year!
Time moves fast when you are having fun!
Serving the Lord from the position of JOY is very important.
For the JOY of the Lord is our strength.

We just want to give you some Praise update on all the things that is taking place in our lives since Jan 06. It is more like counting your blessings and name them one by one.

Jan 06
*On the 26th Jan 2006, we celebrated one year since moving over to Melbourne to based our ministry.

* We bought our house on the first day of Chinese New Year!
At a price that is well below market value as well as the ability to get a Bank loan! The Mortgage Broker said," I don't understand, but God must be on your side!"

Feb 06
* 18th Feb 2006, 5 core families met to plan for the launch of a new Church Plant! An answer to our prayers. We asked for 5 core families and the Lord brought us all together miraculously! Everyone has a story to tell of God's preparation and divine appointment!

* God provided the Community Hall for us to use at just $20 per hour. Two big halls, well equipped kitchen, big car park and a play ground at the back!


March 06
*Last year on the 8th July 2005 we started our Home Fellowship with 5 people. It was a humble beginning.

*5th March 2006 was a history-making day!
We start the first Sunday Celebration Service for Evangelical Community Church Casey (ECC Casey)
@ 5:00pm to 6:30pm, Brentwood Park Community Centre, Berwick, Victoria, Australia

April 06
* On the 30th April 2006, we had our Official Grand Opening!
It was Awesome! A deep sense of destiny for what is to come.
Now we have an average of 30 Adults 9 Children.
There are 10 nationalities in our New Church Plant now!

May 06
* The Missions Trip back to Singapore and Cambodia was a life-changing trip for the Aussie team that went with me!
We saw 28 decisions for Christ! Nearly 40% of the population in Cambodia are 14 years old and below!
Plans are set in motion to be back in Cambodia in Jan 07.
ECC Casey have adopted a Cambodian village to plant churches.

June 06
* Yes Winter is here. Down to 5 degrees C last night.
We had a wonderful ECC Casey family outing.
Truly the young church is taking shape as relationship deepens. I also spoke in 2 camps.

*The last camp finished on the 2 July, Sunday morning.
I went feeling very tried and was wondering how I will be able to do all the 7 sessions! When I arrived, I discovered about 40% are invited friends from outside the Church. A big group of Taiwanese oversea students, stood out with their blonde hair and earrings.
My heart just cried out to God to acknowledge how inadequate I felt. (Even thought I thrived in Youth Camps) I knew this camp has to do more with God than me.

To cut the long story short, we had 16 Salvations! Many filled with the Holy Spirit bursting out in tongues! The prophetic flows freely.
Many were pinned down to the ground and others were praying in tongues for 2 hours straight! The Altar call lasted till 2:00am!
Just to hear the testimonies of pre-believer having encounters with God causes me to realized again and again that it is all about God and not us or our talents or our organizational abilities! (Ps. 90:17)

July 06
* We are sending Ps Geoff & Ava Stafford for about 2 months of ministry in Indonesia. Malaysia & Singapore.
This is the first time Ps Geoff & Ava will be away from the New Church Plant. We will miss their presence with us, but we believe it will be a new phase for the growth of the Church.

* This 23 & 30 July 06, we will be having a series of outreaches with Pastor Steven Teo at ECC Casey.
Do pray for souls to be saved.

It’s been 2 years since we step out by faith into a new season of ministry. Truly God who guides provides! We have been enlarged on all fronts!

Claire is growing up fast. She just turned 8 on the 22 June.
She has matured so much and is now at shoulder level with Mummy.

Carol is busy running the Ladies Fellowship, leading the Children Church as well as cooking every Sunday. She is a volunteer at Claire’s School with the Royal Rangers programme.

It was great to have a few visitors from Singapore visiting us the first half of the year. Do drop by if you are in Town.
