2007 December NewsLetter

Dear Friends & Prayer supporters,

Wishing you all the choice blessings of God.

It looks like every year is getting faster than the last. Yes, 2007 went very fast & last Christmas was like yesterday! Again year 2007 was filled with God’s amazing Grace and Favour upon our lives. It leaves us with a deeper sense of our dependence on God for everything. There is still so much to learn in our walk of Faith with God. Thank God for a renewed understanding of working WITH HIM and not just FOR HIM! Our identity is defines by who we are & what we have in Christ, not by what we can do for Christ. For He alone works in us and through us for His own Glory.

This year we have lots of high points as well as low ones. All in all we see all these as God’s preparation of us for eternity! We only live once, so maximized it to the full. Jesus came to give us nothing short of a Life, and a Life to the Full!

My Mum & family members celebrating Christmas.

One of the high point of this year was to celebrates Mum's 80th birthday in Singapore with the rest of the families and to have my Mum & family members visiting us in Melbourne over the Dec holidays. The trip with them to Tasmania (After 19 years since I was a student there) was the icing on the cake to end the year.

As a picture paints a thousand words, here are some of the highlights for the year 2007:

Some friends from Riverlife Church, Singapore. Many more are not in the photo but all their visits have been special.

The ECC Casey Family continues to grow. The winter camp in July 07 was another defining moment for our new Church.

1st Leaders Retreat at Chestnut Hill Conf. in Nov 07

The Monash Uni Clayton OCF winter camp was awesome. Out of it birth the planting of Monash Uni Berwick campus OCF! Never despise the day of small beginnings.

The first trip to China in Oct 07 was an eye opening event! With the Missions giving of ECCI, we saw a dental Clinic established. Missions works now includes Myanmar, Nepal, Indonesia, Cambodia, Thailand, China & Kyrgyzstan. All involving Church planting!

Another high point in our new church life is the Water Baptism in Nov 07. 5 people followed the Lord in Water Baptism.

We look forward to a time of Celebration & Thanksgiving when our church meets this New Year Eve, 31st Dec, for our Watch Night service!

On the home front, Claire may be  9 1/2 years old now, but she can't wait for the day she can drives!. She is growing so fast in all ways. Next year she will be Grade 5 in middle school!

Carol is still actively running the Kids Church, Ladies fellowship, visitation, giving Bible study to new believers and cooking for Sunday service. Until we get a permanent Church building, our house is still like the headquarter of most events! We thank God for many visitors that drop by & the encouragement they brings to us. As I said before, you have spiced up our lives in many ways.

As the year come to a close, I would like to once again thank you all for your faithful partnership and prayer for the ministry. May you have a blessed Christmas and an Awesome New Year!

Blessings
Ken, Carol & Claire Teo
