2007 Aug-Dec Prayer/Newsletter

Dear Prayer Warriors,

Thank you for your faithful and generous prayer support. While the first half of 2007 seems to go real fast, its been very fruitful. God is full of surprises, just like a Father who likes to surprise his children.

Personal Update

..

1) Claire Turned 9 years in June. Yes she has grown in many ways. Soon she will be speaking to her Mum eye ball to eye ball!

2) Carol celebrated her Birthday in July as well. (Sorry you have to guess the years.....) Beside cooking for Sunday Service, Carol is doing the Children Church, running Ladies fellowship and helping with the Children Play group. With our house as the headquarter', she is kept real busy.

3) It was a wonderful celebration we had for my mother's 80th Birthday. Yes looks like the gathering of the tribe! The June trip back to Singapore was a good time to connect with families. Carol & Claire spent sometimes in KL, Malaysia too. Carol was able to minister to her aging mother.

Ministry Report.

1) The June trip went very well with ministry at Bethel A/G, RiverLife Church and Cornerstone Generation Youth. The first trip to Thailand was an eye opener. Was able to see first hand the work of Asia Tribal ministry working among the Karen tribe and the Lahu Tribal ministry. We are looking to work with Timothy Lakhem of ATM closely on the Karen people group.

2) I was invited to speak at the June Winter camp for OCF Monash Uni Clayton. It was a God thing and the Lord moves right from the first night. Nicholas & Hui Ming Eng, from RiverLife and an early OCFers, were Camp parents there as well. The camp ended with a call and challenge to pioneer OCF in Monash Uni Berwick Campus! Yes 2nd Aug was a historical day as we held the 1st prayer meeting to launch OCF at Monash Uni Berwick campus !

3) ECC Casey church was planted in March 2006 and already had 2 family camps! The 2nd camp in July was a Winter family camp and we had an awesome time. God was at work and we see him connecting us deeper as a Church to Arise and Build! We thank God for his provision on our new Church. Looking back at the 1 1/2 years, it is all about the favour of God!

4) In the ECCI Blackburn Missions Weekend, ECC Casey put up a special stand under Local Missions. We thank God that He has increase the Missions temperature and culture in ECCI. We raised through the Missions Faith Promise a sum of $126,590 even though the Missions Budget was just $74,100!
God surprise us again. ECCI Missions now includes countries like, China, Centra Asia, Cambodia, Myanmar, Thailand & Indonesia.

Prayer Points

1) Do pray for our family as we enter Spring time. Many people are down with Hay Fever. Pray for good health and strength.

2) ECC Casey has grown and we are looking to move to a morning slot. But finding a place of worship in the morning is difficult. Do pray for us as we look for a more permanent place.
We are believing God for His provision.

3) Soon it will be 3 years since we based our ministry in Melbourne. How time flies! Both the new Church plant (ECC Casey) and Missions for ECCI are doing well. Do pray for God's refreshing and renewed strength on us as we press on towards the high calling.

We can work to earn more money, but we can't work to earn more Time! Let us work while it is day. Thank you once again for your faithful pray support all these years. May the Lord blesses you richly.
